DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York City - Chelsea

We had a wonderful stay at Double Tree Hilton , Chelsea! We traveled over Christmas as a family of 4, two boys aged 17 and 10. We had two double beds and the room was cosy, but exceptionally clean with wonderful views of the Empire State Building! The bathroom was clean,and the shower was lovely…we had a bath too! The staff were attentive, courteous and friendly. We had a late flight on our last day so we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel at no extra cost whilst we explored the city on our final day. We also requested a late book-in upon our arrival which had been noted through the Booking.com messages beforehand. Breakfast was included and served in a buffet style with plenty of options - pancakes were our favourites!! Location of the hotel was perfect for our stay - we used Penn Station subway daily which was super convenient to explore Manhattan on foot or by subway. As first time visitors to New York City we would highly recommend Double Tree Hilton in Chelsea to anyone! I had read some scathing reviews on here beforehand especially regarding the lift/elevator! We experienced no issues whatsoever and the hotel was super busy with guests over Christmas. Special shout out to Roy (at breakfast!) Kareem and Matthew for the amazing hospitality! Great hotel. We will be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nothing to complain about the room. Clean, spacious, equipped, comfy bed, quiet. The hotel is in a good area, 5 minutes from 5th avenue. Also, a couple o blocks away from Penn Station, connecting with JFK. So I guess it is a good deal. A, they also have a storage room free or charge so if your flight is late in the afternoon you can shop or visit downtown Manhattan luggage free.

Handy and close to attractions

Had a pretty good stay. Room was clean and decently furnished. Stayed in a king advertised with a city view and it had a king bed, tub, mini fridge, tv, coffee maker, desk, and safe. Room was smaller than I thought- didn't really have much space to store my luggage. But it was good. Breakfast staff was excellent. Overall, the room was a little bit pricier than what I would figure for its size, but it is in Midtown Manhattan so I guess it makes sense.

My stay at this hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff went above and beyond, always helpful and incredibly friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The location is perfect, close to key attractions and convenient for exploring the area. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and provided a comfortable, relaxing environment. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.
